Michaela Wünsch received her Ph.D. from Humboldt University Berlin with a dissertation on the serial killer. She held postdoc positions at the Jan-van-Eyck Academie in Maastricht and the Institute for Cultural Inquiry in Berlin. After a visiting professorship at University Vienna she conducted a research project on seriality and repetition in television and psychoanalysis at University of California Riverside, UCLA and University Potsdam funded by a Marie-Curie fellowship. Her recent publications analyze American adaptations of Israeli television series.
