Shane Denson
Shane Denson is a DAAD postdoctoral fellow in the Program in Literature at Duke University, a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz University of Hannover, and co-director (with Andreas Sudmann) of the research project “Digital Seriality” in the Popular Seriality Research Unit. From September 2016, he will be Assistant Professor of Art & Art History (teaching in the Film & Media Program) at Stanford University. He is the author of Postnaturalism: Frankenstein, Film, and the Anthropotechnical Interface (Transcript-Verlag / Columbia University Press, 2014) and co-editor of several collections: Transnational Perspectives on Graphic Narratives (Bloomsbury, 2013, with Christina Meyer and Daniel Stein), Digital Seriality (a special issue of Eludamos: Journal for Computer Game Culture, 2014, co-edited with Andreas Sudmann), and Post-Cinema: Theorizing 21st Century Film (REFRAME Books, 2016, with Julia Leyda).
