Sven Grampp studied German literature, philosophy, media studies and art history at the University of Konstanz and wrote his PhD about the Role of the Printing Press in Media Theory (2008). He is a faculty member/akademischer Rat of the Institute of Theater and Media studies at the University of Erlangen. His research interests are media theory, television series, and space race. He is the author of Marshall McLuhan. Eine Einführung (UTB, 2011), Picturing the Future in Outer Space at the Dawn of the Space Race.
