Prof. Dr. Frank Kelleter
Frank Kelleter, born 1965, is Chair of the Department of Culture and Einstein Professor of North American Cultural History at John F. Kennedy Institute, Freie Universität Berlin. His main fields of interest include the American colonial and Enlightenment periods, theories of American modernity, and American media and popular culture since the 19th century.
He is the Director of the Popular Seriality Research Unit. During the first funding period (2010-2013) he has directed the sub-projects "Authorization Practices of Serial Narration" (with Daniel Stein) and "The Dynamics of Serial Outbidding (Überbietung)" (with Andreas Sudmann). During the second funding period (2013-2016) he is directing the sub-project "Retrospective Serialization" (with Kathleen Loock).
